I didn't stumble into web design — I arrived here through governance, cybersecurity, education and a subtle love for art that started when I was young.

My qualification in Governance taught me how institutions work, how policies get exploited, and how compliance frameworks are supposed to protect people. That lens now shapes how I approach every website: POPIA-compliant contact forms, layered security measures, and privacy-first design aren't afterthoughts — they're built in from the start.

For five years, I managed over 5,800+ international clients as an independent consultant for an EdTech company — 12,399 sessions across four time zones. That experience did something unexpected: it sharpened my ability to listen attentively. I learned to adapt my communication to each person, to read between the lines of what someone actually needs, and to deliver under pressure with zero supervision. That's the "human-centric" part of Kat Web Hub — it comes from real experience, not a buzzword.

I grew up drawing — it was my thing. Over the years, that love evolved into a deep appreciation for art, especially abstract painting. There's something about a piece that doesn't hand you the answer, that forces you to sit with it and imagine what the artist was thinking and trying to convey. I've contemplated picking up a brush myself for as long as I can remember. I haven't picked up a paintbrush yet — but that fascination with visual expression never left. That's where my Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) background comes in, giving me the technical discipline behind visual structure. So building a business around digital aesthetics and creative problem-solving wasn't far-fetched. It was the natural endpoint of something that was always there.

Today, Kat Web Hub is where all of it converges: analytical thinking, creative execution, security consciousness, and genuine care for the person on the other side of the screen. I don't just build websites — I build them the way I'd want my own data handled, my own story told, and my own first impression made.
